Wits End: the point when your mental resources are exhausted, and you don't know the next step to take.
I call my counseling practice Wits End because that's often the point at which we turn to help. When we’re out of ideas and direction, we can turn to curiosity instead of despair.
Life is constantly changing around us. The world moves fast, but it takes time for people to actually change. As a therapist, I'm here to support you in navigating these shifts, both big and small.
A core part of our work will involve shifting focus inward — observing thoughts and emotions and paying attention to your nervous system. We'll practice paying attention to the wisdom of your body—your breath, your sensations, even your digestion. We'll explore how your body responds to the world around you, helping you develop a deeper sense of self-awareness and the possibility of rest. Through this work you can begin to see yourself through your own compassionate eyes, rather than solely through the lens of others' perceptions.
With cleverness, kindness, and hope, we will sit together and navigate what brought you to therapy and how to move through.
